Does a Soulmate Really Exist? The Psychology of Universal Love

The Soulmate Myth and Reality

There is a single belief instilled in us from Disney movies to romantic comedies: "There is only one special person created for you in the world. When you find them, all your problems will end, everything will be magical, and you will live happily ever after." Such a heavy expectation causes people in the modern age to give up at the slightest problem in relationships, saying "Then they must not be my soulmate," and to constantly search for perfection (and remain alone).

According to spiritual teachings and the belief in reincarnation, a Soulmate definitely exists; but this concept is much deeper and multifaceted than the sticky, trouble-free, and solely "Romantic" illusion sold to us by Hollywood.

The Biggest Misconception: We Don't Have Just 1 Soulmate!

According to esoteric philosophy, we do not come to Earth (the school of evolution) alone. We have a huge Soul Group vibrating at the same frequency as us, who have suffered, fought, or loved with us in past lives. You can have dozens of soulmates from this soul group.

A soulmate doesn't just mean "the person you will marry." That foreign old lady you sit next to on a flight, who doesn't even speak your language but to whom you tell your deepest secrets in 2 hours, can also be your soulmate. Your best friend from high school who kept you connected to life, and even your pet dog are your soulmates. A soulmate is so familiar with the frequency of your soul that when you are with them, you don't need to wear any masks or prove yourself. You just feel "At Home (Safe)."

How Do We Recognize a Soulmate?

There are some spiritual and psychological signs to understand whether someone is your romantic soulmate or not:

1. Effortless Communication (The Peace of Silence)

In karmic or toxic relationships, you constantly think about what you will say. There is the stress of "If I write this now, will they misunderstand? Will they get mad if I don't call?" However, when you are with a soulmate, there is not even a need to talk. Even while reading books at two different ends of the same room, there is a tremendous energy flow between you. Silence is not uncomfortable; it is therapeutic.

2. Safety and Acceptance (Non-Judgment)

When you tell your soulmate your most stupid fears, shames, or complexes, they don't look at you saying "You are crazy." They embrace even your darkness with compassion. You don't have to be the most beautiful/handsome or smartest person in the world when you are with them. You know that love is permanent there (Root Chakra security) even in your pajamas and when you are sick.

3. Non-Triggering Growth (Growing Hand in Hand)

Twin flames or karmic partners grow each other by hitting hard, by causing crises. A soulmate, on the other hand, doesn't break you; they hold your hand and say, "Let's achieve this together." They believe in your dreams more than you do. They are not your rival, they are your best teammate. When together, the abundance (material wealth and joy) of both parties increases.

"I Found My Soulmate But Are There No Problems?" (The Pink Glasses Illusion)

Finding your soulmate does not mean you will never fight again. Soulmates get tired, act selfishly, or enter ego wars too. The difference is the "Repair Mechanism."

In ordinary relationships, when an argument arises, ultimatums like "We are breaking up, it's over" are drawn. In a soulmate connection, even in the heat of the argument, there is an underlying trust of "We will solve this problem, we are not going anywhere." You get mad at your partner, but you never lose your compassion for them.

Why Haven't You Found Your Soulmate Yet?

Many of us rebel saying, "Where is my soulmate, has the universe forgotten me?" The Law of Attraction and the spiritual rule are very clear: He who cannot be his own soulmate cannot find a soulmate outside.

If you cannot be sufficient for yourself when you are alone, if you are looking for someone outside to fill the emptiness (lack of love) inside you; the universe doesn't send you a Soulmate, but a Karmic (Toxic) teacher who will show you "Your own wound." The universe sends you that soulmate (as a Bonus) to accompany you only when you heal your own wound, when you say, "I no longer need someone to be happy."

Conclusion: Stop Searching, Return to Yourself

Your soulmate hasn't gotten lost somewhere. They are just waiting to align with you (with your frequency). While you are in the anxiety frequency, you cannot even see your soulmate who is in the peace frequency. So stop "Searching" for Prince Charming or that perfect woman. Chase your own passions, your own hobbies, and your own worth. We promise you, while you are climbing to your own peak (your light), you will definitely bump into "That" person who is climbing the same peak on the way.
